The gridded framework at street level is multi-functional. Besides serving as a marquee and a walkway, it distincts the building from its surrroundings. It also integrates the separate functional structures of the retail podium, office block and public concourse of the MRT into one entity.

The crystalline and sculptural qualities of the inverted truncated cones and slanting trapezoidal glass towers were amplified with the appropriate choice of colours for the glass and treatment of the mullion details.
